Lively aromatic profile consisting of honeyed tropical fruits with a touch of a fresh Amontillado sherry added for complexity. Full-bodied, with good acidity, less evidence of botrytis than I would have expected, and excellent, possibly outstanding extract, it reveals a more monolithic, oaky personality, but these wines often take 8-10 years to reveal their true characters. There is good depth and richness in the finish, and the wine is long. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2025.
