Limpid ruby-red. Ripe red berry, mocha and candied rose scents show impressive clarity and energy. Sweet and pliant in the mouth, offering juicy, mineral-tinged black raspberry, cherry-vanilla and spicecake flavors that deepen steadily on the back half. Closes with impressive length and alluring spiciness while fine-grained tannins add shape and gentle grip. (Josh Raynolds)
Elegant and intense, offering layered aromas of red raspberries, fresh Oregon strawberries, brown spice, and cedar. It is exceptionally balanced with silky tannins and a persistent finish. This wine would pair well with lamb, duck, salmon, and aged cheeses.
