Tight as a drum, but rich and deeply structured underneath. Shows aromas of black currant, mineral and spice, with intense blackberry, espresso and toasty oak flavors that end with firm tannins. Best from 2009 through 2012.
Our 2005 Merlot is an 11 on a seduction scale of 10. Intense blueberry, cocoa and cedar-infused oak aromas alone are enough to quicken your pulse. In your mouth, the wine is saturated with redolent, ripe-on-the-vine fruit with fine, fleshy texture. Satisfyingly rich and delicious with stiff yet silky tannins, prepare yourself for some serious pleasure.
