Wine Spectator Review
Rated 93
Polished, showing a velvety texture to the deftly restrained black currant, plum, smoke and spice flavors, coming together harmoniously with a minerally streak on the precise finish. Drink now through 2023.

Vivid ruby-red. Potent, mineral-laced aromas of fresh red berries, Asian spices and tea rose, with a hint of smokiness in the background. At once concentrated and lithe, offering spicy cherry and raspberry flavors that spread out impressively on the back half. Shows appealing sweetness and spicy lift on a long, focused finish framed by smooth, slow-building tannins. (Josh Raynolds)

The Patton Valley Lorna-Marie Pinot Noir is, in a word: robust. This wine is always the pinnacle of complexity, structure, and ageability from our portfolio, and in this particular bottling this characteristics are bolstered by a small percentage of whole-cluster fermentation. Up front, the wine is brimming with savory aromas of rye, caraway, and candied yams. These esculent flavors are softened by sweeter notes of almond, orange rind, licorice, and sassafras, providing wonderful balance and range to the nose. Moving to the palate this wine evokes flavors of black cherry, dried flowers, pluots, boysenberry, and cinnamon. The finish is racy and commands attention with hints of smoked paprika, menthol, and sweet cigar box. Drink now, or cellar 7-10 years.
