Tasting notes: Deep red and violet in color, with powerful aromas of ripe red fruits, strawberries and cherries, with hints of coffee and chocolate from the oak. Good body and fl eshy tannins with a long, lingering finish.
Review: Trivento is the name of Chile's giant Concha y Toro in Mendoza. They produce 30 million bottles (yes, you read it correctly!) and own 1,500 hectares of vineyards, but they also have some small crafted lots that I had the chance to try with winemaker German di Cesare. The wines seem to have improved in the last few years and show restraint, balance, approachability and freshness at affordable prices.
