The grapes for this wine grow in and around southern Gumpoldskirchen.
Tasting notes: Aromas of exotic fruits and a creamy finish.
Rating: Wine Enthusiast 94 points (Mar 2018)
This wine's nutty, rounded richness and hint of woodsmoke glint in the glass. Its intense citrus freshness, which recalls lemon and orange oil, is tempered by a slight smoky edge. Rotgipfler is one of Austria's rarer indigenous grapes, and this one is particularly unusual, intense and concentrated. It's a party in a glass that's lovely now but will develop. Drink 2018-2028.
Wine maker notes: We vinify this wine exclusively in stainless steel to optimize its fruitiness.
Technical notes: Ideal serving temperature 10 ? C, white wine glass, ripe potential for 3 years.
Food pairing: Ideal for a variety of appetizers and snack dishes, fish and seafood in a light preparation.
