Mackmyra Svensk Ek is matured for 7-9 years in Swedish oak, ex-Oloroso, and ex-Bourbon casks. Sweet and fruity at first with a dry, savoury, spicy finish. Nose: sappy oak, ginger, milky rice pudding, flinty and minerally, smoked almonds, elderflower and lime with some earthy notes. Palate: Toasted vanilla, ginger biscuits, herbal lozenges, aromatic spices, ripe orchard fruits, stewed apple and pear. Finish: rice pudding, gingersnaps, vanilla, sweet, sappy oak, lime pie, pear drops and sugared almonds.
