The Auchentoshan Three Wood is a vatting of whiskies matured in three types of cask: ex-Bourbon, ex-Oloroso Sherry, and ex-PX Sherry. The result is a rich, sweet, fruity whisky packed with flavours of dried fruit, chocolate, crushed nuts, and ginger cake spice. Nose: Queen of puddings (black fruit jam and baked meringue) treacle toffee, ripe figs in dark honey, dark chocolate, honeycomb, creme brulee tops, orange liqueur. Palate: Hazelnut puree, dark chocolate, orange fondant, butterscotch, Nutella on vanilla toast, fig jam, cinnamon. Finish: Sweet sticky toffee pudding with notes of orange, honeycomb, gingercake and aromatic spices.
