A rather rare Eastern Highland whisky this. Predominantly seen as a workhorse blend for Diageo, this is the only continuous official expression, although you do see some independant bottlings. This is a great little whisky and comes in under the radar. Grassy and floral on the nose with a slight nod towards Japanese styles of whisky (or vice versa). The palate has a lovely balance between spirit and wood, with the refill oak adding a nice creamy and citrus texture that doesn't overwhelm the whisky but complements the base distilate. The finish is slightly drying and delicate. A cracking whisky for those who want something lighter and a little gentler.
