Another beauty of a Ledaig, this time from The Vnatge Malt Company as part of their Cooper's Choice Range. This is a vintage, 17 year Ledaig that has been matured in a combination of American Oak and Moscatel wine casks. Again, a small outturn of just 318 bottles for this release. Sipplier Tasting Notes. Nose - Profoundly peaty with rich, sweet smoke. Smoked apple skins and tar. Palate - Sweet peat and iodine. Liqouroce and fruity sherry notes. Old leather. Full bodied with delicious waves of smoke and spice. Finish - Long lasting. More old leather and sweet, juicy smoke.
