This Portwood finished whisky was initially aged in ex-Bourbon casks before being transferred to Port pipes for a secondary maturation. The result is soft and smooth with flavours and aromas of honey, dark fruits, and hints of oak spice. Tasting Notes Nose: Aromas of rich dried fruits with dark chocolate and cranberries; a hint of toasty oak mingles with a baked nutty dryness. Palate: A creamy richness with some honey and spiced notes emerging. Fiinish: Smooth with a soft oak and honey sweetness lingering gently on the tongue.
