More single cask fun from Glenallachie. This time we have a 10 year old bottling that has been matured in a bourbon barrel and then bottled at cask strength. A very small out-turn on this bottling, just 210 bottles have been produced, so don't expect this one to hang around long! The nose is initially grassy and flowery with a slight charred oak edge and confected red fruit character. The palate is viscous with a mix of sweet honey and dried fruits contrasting with ginger and peppery spice. The finish is oaky, herby and spicy.
