Distilled at Japan’s highest distillery in Shinshu and the new make travelled about 860 km southwest to Tsunuki, a new distillery in Kagoshima, which lies in the southernmost in main island of Japan. Average temperature in Tsunuki is about 8 °C higher than Shinshu. Whisky aged in Tsunuki feels like longer matured whisky more than actual age. Mars Komagatake Tsunuki Aging 2019 is a combination of Bourbon Barrels, American White Oak Puncheon and Sherry Hogshead. Tasting Notes Nose: A full-bodied and fruity profile with ripe apple and citrus fruits. A beautiful nuttiness and plenty of sweet whipped cream follow. Palate: Juicy mouthfeels, and is again citrusy Finish: Long and satisfying finish
