A collaborative whiskey between Iowa distillery Cedar Ridge and Iowa Nu Metal rockers Slipknot. No 9 whiskey is a blend of 3-4 year old straight rye and straight bourbon, mashed, fermented, distilled and aged at the Cedar Ridge Distillery. With a mashbill of 51% corn, 35% rye and 14% 2 row malted barley, this is a well made collaboration, with a great balance of flavour and weight. Tasting Notes Nose - Floral, with honeysuckle and blossom. Sweeter notes of buttered popcorn and caramel arrive Palate - Sweet and fruity at first with stewed apples, butter and caramelised sugar. Spiciness and slight peppery notes follow. . Finish - Smooth and mellow with a hint of milk chocolate.
