A small batch Bourbon from the Barton distillery in Bardstown and bottled at around 8 years old with a high percentage of malted barley in the mashbill. Nose: Chocolate, all butter brioche, toasted vanillin oak, dark citrus, orange and cinnamon, touch of anise and mint. Palate: Honeycomb, zest orange, dark chocolate, buttery flapjacks, caramelised peaches, vanilla fudge, touch of clove. Finish: More dark chocolate and orange, buttery and malty with vanilla, cinnamon and clove. A juicy and syrupy but not too sweet Bourbon with some pleasing spice and chocolate honeycomb notes.
