Laphroaig 10 year old cask strength has all the classic character of the distillery. Iodine, sea salt, pepper, and of course peat smoke. Look past this and you'll find fruit a plenty (with citrus and stone fruits particularly coming to the fore with a touch of water). There's also sweet vanilla and butterscotch from the oak which gives this expression a beautiful texture and rich depth of flavour. Matured in refill American oak casks and bottled at the powerful ABV of 56. 8%. Often described as the bottling that comes closest to the Laphroaig style of old, this is Laphroaig as it should be. Emphatic, full bodied and utterly unforgettable!
