From Gordon & Macphail's 'Private Collection', a unique collection of greatly aged single malts from celebrated, little known and closed distilleries in Scoltand. Here we have a 31 year old single malt from Glenburgie distillery aged in Refill American Hogshead's with only 134 bottles produced from cask 1083. Nose: Honey moving through to dried apricot, elderflower, herbal notes with rich lime and mature oak developing in the background Palate: Smooth and fruity flavours of kaffir lime & mango leading to dried tobacco, mature oak developing into subtle herbal notes Finish: Medium-bodied finish with intense lingering citrus notes
