Comprising more than 2,000 individual bottlings, each Connoisseurs Choice tells its life story through its label: cask type, bottling date, strength, vintage and tasting note. This particular batch from Balbair was be aged for 29 years in a single refill sherry butt. Only 469 bottles were produced from this batch. Nose: Cinnamon spice leads to stewed plum and delicate sherbet aromas. Palate: Initial toasted malt flavours give way to light fruitcake and a hint of cashew nut. Finish: Traces of aniseed and dried ginger linger on the finish.
