| Cascina Bongiovanni was founded in 1950, when the founder, Giovanni, produced and sold grapes for winemaking. Only in the 60s began to vinify in part the fruit of his land and, the proceeds from the first sales, were reinvested in professional equipment to equip the cellar. In the seventies all the grapes produced by the vineyards were vinified and the entry of his daughter Olga in the 80s, saw the first sales of bottles of production: a percentage still low compared to the sale of bulk wine. Davide Mozzone, oenologist and current owner of the company, in the 90s marks the turning point and begins to completely bottle the production of the farm and to allocate the wines to the Italian and foreign market. The care of the vineyards with meticulous rigor, philosophies and innovative techniques respecting the tradition, the vinification with suitable equipment, the hygiene of the cellar and, above all, a lot of passion, have brought the wines of CascinaBongiovanni to today's results: a surface directly of about 7 hectares, 46. 000 Kg of grapes produced for 35 / 40. 000 bottles, prizes and awards on the Italian and foreign market. |
