Rated 90+ Points and a Silver Medal at the 2020 Decanter Wine Awards, the Chateau Pontey 2019 is one of the best values in Left-Bank Bordeaux. A blend of 60% Cabernet Franc with 40% Merlot from 40+ year old vines, Chateau Pontey was awarded official Cru Bourgeois status in 1932, a special designation which recognizes top Chateau's outside of the grand cru classe. Known as one of the ripest, full-bodied Bordeaux's in it's class, the Pontey Medoc once again shines in a hot vintage like 2019. Vibrant red brambly fruit, orange zest and cedar scents, all well defined with generous red currant and allspice notes mixed with cedar on the finish.
