This single cask from independent bottler's Gordon and MacPhail shows off a lovely example of the speysider Glenrothes. Bottled at a fabulous 57. 9% using refill hogshead casks it is a rare opportunity to own the 33 year old single cask with only 182 bottled worldwide. Nose: Rich vanilla and pear aromas combine with a hint of honey. Coconut comes to the fore alongside milk chocolate and mint. Taste: Sweet tropical fruit and brown sugar flavours lead to grapefruit. Soft black pepper gives way to mixed nuts and light herbal notes. Finish: A smooth and medium-bodied finish with lingering oak and pineapple.
