Aged for 10 years in a single re-charred hogshead cask, this Single Malt was distilled at the Caol Ila distillery in 2012. Bottled at cask strength, only 262 bottles were produced from this outrun. Nose: Initially vegetal, with notes of cut grass and oak, followed by hint of peat smoke. Palate: More smoke on the palate, alongside notes akin to an apple turnover. Finish: Surpisingly coastal, considering the previous sweetness and smoke, followed by a hit of spice.
