The Distillers Edition 2021 features classic Islay notes of heavy peat. This is paired wonderfully with further maturation of the liquid in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks, bringing rich, full bodied sweetness to the fore. On the nose there is the aforementioned medicinal peat, alongside tar, dark chocolate and red berries. Stewed and stoned fruits, almonds, bonfire smoke and toffee intermingle on the palate. More peat and smoke with a touch of red grape linger on the finish.
