"Though typically used in blends, Clynelish always impresses me with its single malt releases. Even on the nose, the waxy quality that is exclusive to this distillery is readily apparent. It does not, however, overpower the delicate aromas of orchard flowers, citrus zest and honey. At first, the taste is primarily beeswax and stone fruit, wrapped in savory dough and dusted with almonds. But once you introduce water, the flavors expand miraculously - apples, peaches, pears and white pepper with a sweetly lingering finish. Truly a one-of-a-kind bottle. "
