To commemorate the Mey Games, Wolfburn produced a limited-release bottling. Crafted from unpeated spirit matured for seven years in a combination of an ex-bourbon barrel and a quarter cask, there are just 350 bottles in total. Tasting Notes: Nose: Dried fruits mix with blossom and light oak, all overlaid with a heady treacle sweetness. Taste: Rich, sweet flavours immediately make themselves known. Maple syrup and dark chocolate lead the way, accompanied by hints of vanilla and almond and fruit cake. Warm spices shine through a little later – a gentle layer of cardamom and cinnamon. Finish: Vanilla notes gently fade away with a lovely trace of caramel at the end.
