Dailuaine is a hard working distillery that produces malt for Diageo blends. It's only exposed by Flora & Fauna series and thanks to independent bottlers' releases. Only 2% of its output is marketed as single malts. Dailuaine produces a fat and meaty malt thanks to long fermentation, fast distillation and the use of stainless steel condensers. The distillery uses ex-bourbon casks to age its spirit. Tasting Notes: Nose: Vanilla, earth, fresh barley, green bananas, pancake. Palate: Custard, lime, pepper, lager, and some melon jam and apple liqueur. Finish: Green oranges, sawdust, black tea, burnt caramel.
