Superb peated release of Ancnoc with ppm levels of 20. 5 but still with the fresh and fruit driven style you expect from the non peated range. Nose: Pink grapefruit, fresh whiff of coastal sea spray, lime pickle, aniseed, citrus curd and a hint of seaweed. Palate: Ashy white pepper peat infused limes, apple cores, prickly pear and vanillin oak. Finish: Oily citrus, ashy smoke, creamy vanilla and pink grapefruit. A refreshing Ex-Bourbon cask aged peated malt from the Knockdhu distillery who now have a whole range of peated malts. 96. 5 points Jim Murray's Whisky Bible "The most Ardbeg-esque mainland malt i have ever encountered.
