The Port Cask Matured expression from Eden Mill is bottled at cask-strength, and it certainly packs a lot of flavour. You'll definitely be able to pick up wine sweetness on the nose, with some blackcurrant jamminess and a faint hint of citrus. On the palate, the winey notes of grape, date and raison continue to come through, alongside a warming spice and a creamy nuttiness. The finish is slightly earthy, intertwined with cocoa powder and a pleasant sharpness.
