Tasting this wine immediately after pulling the cork would lead one to believe that this is a massive wine that’s as powerful as the day is long, but with a little time exposed to the air the wine softens and all kinds of hidden nuances are revealed. 100% Tempranillo that shows a very classic Ribera character, this begins with aromas of red & black fruits, licorice, and spice. The palate shows fruits like black cherry & blueberry with restraint and freshness over a firm tannic backbone with just a hint of rusticity. Beautifully balanced and long on the finish, this is a great wine to chase the chill away!
