Domaine de la Verpaille is a third generation family owned estate in Southern Burgundy. Producing only a few hundred cases of exclusively organic Chardonnay wines from small parcels of old vines; Baptiste and his wife Estelle are committed to producing quality wine. Their philosophy is to look for balance and biodiversity in their soils to produce the finest fruit. They are fastidious in the vinification process and practice slow fermentation with native yeasts and aging without stirring the lees to keep a fresh, mineral style with minimal use of oak. As a result, the Domaine produces pure, mineral driven wines characterized by their vibrant freshness. Their commitment to quality has earned the Domaine, under the stewardship of Estelle and Baptiste, the New Talent Award from La Revue du Vin de France.
