An intense purple hue gives preview to blackberry cobbler and complex forest floor aromatics. Large scale and densely textured, this wine delivers a full and amazingly layered impression at first sip. Despite its size and vitality, it remains fresh, tangy, and energetic as it unfurls to a black-fruited core with excellent fruit density. Tannins have a muscular chewiness while still being lithe. Gaps Crown Vineyard is a very long-lived wine that will reward patient cellaring for many years to come.
