Grape: 80% Nerello Mascalese, 20% Nerello Cappuccio Tasting Notes: Cherry, Pomegranate, Spice, Volcanic Minerality Starting with the acquisition of small plots of land, Palermo-born engineer Nino Bevilacqua founded this production facility in 2008. Their small terraced vineyards extend between 650 and 900 meters above sea level. The Nerello Mascalese and Cappuccio grapes find their ideal habitat here, thanks to the cool, breezy climate, the diurnal temperature variations, and the mineral-rich soil. The wine is elegant, light to medium-bodied, and well-balanced with gorgeous texture, soft tannins, and crisp acidity. The palate is round and supple, presenting cherry, plum, raspberry, pomegranate, spice, volcanic minerality, earth, and leather. Try it with tuna, baked salmon, pizza, or poultry.
