"Glen Constantia is located just outside of Cape Townan area that has represented the heart of South African grape growing since the very beginning. This is quite literally where South African wine was born in 1659 with the historic sweet wine named Constantia. Although the dessert wine is still in production to this daythis area has discovered its potential to grow clean, crisp and deliciously citrusy Sauvignon Blanc and thats what weve got here. Think about cool, crisp pink grapefruit spiked with a whisper of Belgian beer spice (clove, nutmeg etc. ). . . kind of like drinking the ultimate South African lemonade. . . but with minerality (whispers of sandstone of silica). Drink it with shrimp fried rice, fish Francese, and fried clams and oysters. " --Codey Foster, Wine Director
