The grapes for this wine were sourced from several certified organic vineyards in the esteemed Carneros appellation, including ZDs own Carneros Estate Vineyard. All fruit was hand harvested and fermented in small open top stainless steel tanks. Hand punch-downs every six hours ensured gentle extraction of color and tannin, and 10 months of aging in 100% French Oak barrels added depth, richness, and complexity to this wine. With a beautiful dark ruby color, the Pinot Noir has aromas of ripe strawberries and briary black cherry interspersed with hints of vanilla, cedar, and rhubarb. The subtle oak nuances integrate perfectly with the bright fruit, balanced acidity, and silky tannins. This wine is drinking beautifully now, but will also age gracefully in your cellar.
