The Real McCoy 3 Year Rum is an aged and filtered white rum, distilled at the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados . The rum is named in tribute to Bill McCoy, a Prohibition-era rum runner known for never watering down or adulterating his spirits, giving rise to the phrase "the real McCoy" Ingredients: Made from blackstrap molasses and pure spring water. Distillation: Produced using a combination of both column and pot stills. Aging: The rum is aged for three years in heavily charred American oak ex-bourbon barrels, which takes place in Barbados. This tropical climate significantly accelerates the aging process. Filtration: After aging, the rum is charcoal-filtered to remove most of the color imparted by the barrels while preserving its complex flavor. Purity: Staying true to its namesake, the rum is unadulterated, with no added sugars, flavors, or artificial colors.
