Elu, French for chosen or elected, evolved from the desire of St. Supery Winemaker Michael Scholz and renowned winemaking consultant Michel Rolland to craft an elegant red blend from each vintage that seamlessly reflects the best expression of hte season from St. Superys two estate vineyards. Flavors of dark fruit combine with elements of espresso and vanilla, as well as notes of smoky oak and dusty terroir. This red blend offers a finely textured silky structure with density and a graceful appeal. This is a wine of great density, yet with a sense of finesse and charm. Cabernet sauvignon dominant with merlot, malbec, cabernet franc and petit verdot. 100% French oak, about half new Partially barrel fermented.
