Grape: 80% Corvina, 20% Rondinella Tasting Notes: Cherry, Vanilla, Plum, Spice Santi traces its origins back to 1843. They are situated in the heart of the most acclaimed wine growing zones in the Veneto. Their modern winemaking facility and ageing cellar has been fully renovated and they emphasize new techniques to improve the quality of their wines. The Santi Solane is aged in cherry-wood barrels giving this mainly Corvina blend Valpolicellas softest fruity notes. It's robust, balanced, nicely structured, and complex with soft tannins and solid character. The smooth palate releases flavors of cherry, raspberry, vanilla. black plum, sweet spices, tobacco and graphite with raisin and cocoa notes. Will go nicely with red meat, game or aged cheeses.
