Style: Joven Mezcal Artesanal Type of Agave: Angustifolia Taste: moderate smokiness throughout, with citrus/passion fruit/kiwi fruity acidity, and a low-key agave sweetness. Some slight minerality too. Additional Info: Produced in Oaxaca by Mezcalero Cutberto Santiago and his family. This mezcal is made from Espadin agave that is cooked for 5 days in a basalt lined pit oven and fermented for 4 days in open top in wood tanks then twice distilled. This is a excellent mezcal with notes of kiwi, lemon zest, white pepper and a soft smoke on the palate. Definitely recommend for Paloma!
