Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château Filhot has a simple pineapple and wax resin bouquet that needs just a little more precision. The palate is nicely balanced and straightforward, the acidity nicely judged, though just a tad conservative toward the finish. It represents a decent Sauternes that goes about its job with the minimum of fuss. . Wine Advocate - 86 points
