Winemaker's Notes. Black fruits and roasted aromas fill the nose. The palate is mouth-filling and rich, leading to a long, delicate finish. . Wine Summary. 90% Tempranillo, 7% Graciano, 3% Mazuelo; alcohol: 14%; Leza estate vineyard in D. O. C. Rioja at 540 meters; clay and linestone soils; vines planted 1965; hand harvested; destemmed; fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks; macerated 25 days with daily pumpovers; aged 18 months in American and French oak barriques; aged 18 months in bottle.
