In 2018, Distillerie Poisson planted organic sugarcane on a pristine plot of land constantly swept by the winds of Marie Galante. This is terroir-driven, natural rum: the cane was hand harvested and distilled on copper créole column stills after a longer than usual fermentation lasting 115+ hours. . Distillerie Poissonâs genuine love for rhum agricole and the island of Marie Galante pushed them to produce this intensely elegent organic rhum bottled at a still strength of 71. 2% abv. . This is the first rhum produced by Distillerie Poisson to be certified organic and labeled as such.
