Morello cherries in spirit are the highlight of this magnificent experience, along with aromas of liquorice, cloves and cinnamon, hints of roasted coffee beans, refreshing tangy breezes and a rich umami scent. . Well-developed and engaging, with a splendid acidity with a refreshing and invigorating taste of cherries, plums and blackcurrant juice. Tales of ripe fruits with a salty note and palate-tickling hints of black pepper. . This velvety, elegant red was made from a lighter wine resting on the skins of a richer wine for 4 days, prior to pressing and aging for 48 months. Â The extended aging in large oak softened the tannins to a fine edge. Â Aromas combine dried red fruits, cherries and cranberries along with a savory cured meat note. Â Note that this is drier than many Ripasso style wines.
