The Vayots Dzor region, and the village of Areni in particular, have been the cradle of Armenian winemaking for millennia. As Armenian wines experience a renaissance, it is time to open the doors of this unique terroir to the world and showcase the beauty of our wines. . Growing at 1250m altitude, Areni Noir is an indigenous ungrafted Armenian grape variety that reached us through 6100 years history of surviving the harsh climate of the rocky and rich volcanic soil of Vayots Dzor region. Aged 24 months in oak barrels, the elegant Hin Areni Red Reserve has a ruby-red color, velvet tannins and intense aromas of berries. It is a charming, balanced and full-bodied wine, expressing notes of blackberry, cherry, dark chocolate, as well as peppery and spicy notes that will perfectly accompany red meats and aged cheeses.
