Wine Advocate Review Rated 93 In some vintages tiny quantities (about 150 cases of half bottles) are produced of Late Harvest Semillon. It is a beautifully made wine that could easily be mistaken for a great Barsac such as Chateau Climens. Swanson's 2003 Late Harvest Semillon, a blend of 83% Semillon and 17% Sauvignon Blanc that is fermented and aged in 100% new oak, is a stunningly proportioned, elegant yet authoritatively rich wine that should drink well for 10-15 years. If you don't think California wineries can produce decadently rich, honeyed, sweet wines with finesse and balance, check out this wine.
