Jeb Dunnuck Review
Rated 90
The 2017 Marcella's checks in as a Viognier-dominated blend that includes smaller amounts of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, most of which was barrel fermented. Its light gold color is followed by a subtle reductive bouquet that slowly offers more apricot, white flowers, and honeysuckle aromas with time in the glass. Rich, rounded, beautifully textured, and yet still fresh and lively, it's a food-friendly effort that's going to shine on the dinner table.
A white Rhone blend that's quintessential Santa Barbara with bright, fresh acidity backing generous peach and apricot fruit flavors and enticing spice and mineral notes for complexity. Lots of exotic citrus, lime, green herbs and bay leaf notes to go with a medium-bodied, juicy, quaffable and delicious feel on the palate. It's a good summer drinker to enjoy over the coming year or two.
