This is a red that defines the new Zin elegance, but as also Beckett notes, “It's got some boost to it. ” Aromas of black olive, sage, blackberry and espresso announce its broad, fruit-forward and savory character. The liquid is mouth-filling - not dense as much as weighty with juiciness. Cinnamon, white pepper and dark cherry round out the finish.
Flush with ripe fruit and rich baking spices, the Westside is a bold and varietally true Zinfandel. The bottle opens with aromas of black plum, walnut, and a cabinet's worth of anise, allspice, nutmeg, and cocoa. On the palate, look for red and black cherry, huckleberry, and dessert spices like vanilla and clove. Lush fruit and supple tannins lend structure to this delectable Zin.
