Medium deep garnet-purple in color, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Blocks Road presents classis cassis, cloves and menthol aromas accented by eucalyptus, lavender and chocolate. Medium-bodied, fine and tightly-knit, the palate has a nice freshness, fine tannins and a well-poised finish.
Low yields and 24 months maturation in new and older small French oak casks has created an intensely flavored wine exhibiting black currants and notes of dark chocolate and briary fruits. The French oak contributes complexity and elegance.
