Medium ruby color; spicy dusty cherry aromas with some toasty oak; rich, ripe dusty red cherry flavors, sweet oak, some cola and spice notes; good structure and balance; long finish. Medium-bodied Pinot with a lot of spicy, interesting flavors. Good middle weight Pinot for the table.
This vintage is hallmark Carneros -- complexity with an upfront spiciness, backed with sweet cherry, draped in a core of acid and fine grained tannins. A wine of this classic structure will reward aging in your cellar or accompanying a well-prepared meal.
