Bruichladdich was founded in 1881 and can be found on the North shore of Loch Indaal, Islay. The Distillery looks across the water at Bowmore Distillery. Bruichladdich was constructed in 1881 by Robert William and John Gourlay Harvey. Bruichladdich is not a Traditional Islay whiskey as it is only slightly peated. It has the complex Islay taste but does not over power you with that punch of smoke like other Islay Whiskies. This fine Alexander Murray & Co Bottling of Bruichladdich 21 Year old Single Malt is very special.
Tasting Notes:
The nose is full bodied with an initial oily, sweet nose. To taste, sweet Scottish tablet and hints of nuts leading to a gripping complex but smooth finish.
