Jewel of Russia is no shrinking violet of a vodka. While all vodkas are supposed to be very neutral spirits, Jewel of Russia still retains character: hints of grain, rye spice, mild pepper and a slight mineral note. Its pure vodka joy is elevated to near perfection by the fact that it's made from a blend of hearty Russian wheat and rye. It's distilled five times and filtered five times, but you still get that character I mentioned. If you can only have one bottle of vodka in your house, this stuff should be it. Straight from the refrigerator, over ice, or in a Vesper, Jewel of Russia is *IT*.
